Many business leaders find there is a lack of discipline and
engagement when the “boss” is not present. Although not
always the case it is true work places experience a changed
culture when the supervisor is absent.

In those that do not it is a matter of employee’s
understanding their value to the organization and have
made a commitment to a shared vision of success.

Keep in mind that the “cat-away” culture may not be a bad
culture. Many times the mice get their work done quickly so
they play their games.
