“It is not my job” was the most hated phrase a customer can hear
according to the survey. 24% of the respondents identified this
element of poor customer service.

Customers do not care what an employee’s job is when they are
looking for help.

It is far better to tell a customer that you are not familiar with that
particular area so you will get somebody who is better equipped to
help them. This sends the message to the customer that they are
important enough to deserve some additional attention from you.
