There is a culture in many corporate offices that gives
superiority to the home office over branches. In retail,
banking, manufacturing, restaurants, and other business
sectors that use branches those working in the branches
can easily sense the lack of appreciation for the front line
employee.

This is often seen by offices that close early to give
executive long holiday weekends or go on reduced hours for
the summer. There are no such accommodation to those in
the branches, especially in retail, creating a chasm between
corporate headquarters and branches.
